An Evolution, 5 Years In The Making!

A 100% Online Grocery Solution
For five years, The Market has been at the heart of GoodRoots Northwest. Our commitment to dignity was more than a value, it was an innovation that reshaped how food access could look and feel. Created during a once-in-a-lifetime crisis, The Market was always envisioned as a five-year pilot, proving that food can be people-focused, choice-driven, and community-rooted. Now, as that lease comes to a close, we are choosing to evolve the project into something stronger and built for the future. On October 1, 2025, in-person shopping will sunset and we’re fully transitioning to a 100% online grocery model powered by the GoodRoots Locker Network.
GoodRoots Northwest has always been ahead of the curve, making bold decisions that challenge the status quo. We’re not here to simply create a better food bank; we’re here to design a better food system. The Locker Network will see over 60,000 visits annually, with the capacity to grow beyond 200,000 visits, delivering access to fresh food to the food deserts we serve. With lockers placed near community-funded infrastructure like post offices, fire stations, and city halls, we’re meeting people where they already are and removing barriers like time and transportation. This isn’t just about efficiency, it’s about building the future of food access: flexible, dignified, and deeply rooted in the fabric of the communities we serve.
Our new home, made possible through an innovative public-private partnership at Peak410, is known as the GoodRoots Food Hub. It's a 22,000-square-foot facility designed for the future of food access and gives us 10x the capacity to store and distribute fresh, healthy foods with greater efficiency and reach than ever before.
We invite you to read the full press release attached to learn more about this bold next chapter. We’ll also be sharing details soon for our Open House celebration at the new GoodRoots Food Hub.
With your support, we’ve built something extraordinary. Thank you. The best is yet to come.He
