About The Guide

The information contained in the Northeast Pierce Resource Guide focuses on basic needs and ways to get involved in the community through community service and support through donations.

Family Resource Centers are a great place for families with kids to connect for assistance.  They typically have support in multiple languages.  They have diaper banks, financial assistance, help with registration for DSHS and healthcare.  Clients are typically referred based on the school district they attend.  Full information about the centers and where they are can be found at

Pierce County United Way has relaunched their county support resource.  It has navigators, AI assist and works to provide not just the emergency need but also help clients find additional resources to move them out of emergency need situations.

The Pierce County SFMNP website and has been updated with the latest program information and applications in Vietnamese, Samoan, Korean, Khmer, Spanish, Russian, and English.  The website has everything you need in the form of important SFMNP program information and sharable FAQs. The Pierce County Library System is partnering with the Pierce County Department of Emergency Management to help connect community members impacted by the severe storms and flooding in December 2025 with vital disaster assistance services.

We are also still seeking donations to help make this summer meal program possible. Our goal is to serve more than 6,000 meals to kids this summer, along with providing a welcoming space for children to eat, connect, and participate in simple activities.

If you or your organization are able to give, your support would make a meaningful difference. Every contribution helps provide meals and support for local children and families.
